Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional system of yoga involving a sequential set of asanas (postures) synchronised with breath (free sound breath), focused gaze (dristhi) and engaged centres of energy (bandhas). If practiced regularly, the results are not only an improved physical and mental condition but also ability to control senses, mind and develop a sense of consciousness both in body and mind. The asanas follow a very logical sequence designed to align the body and strengthen the nervous system. About me Stanislava has been teaching the Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore style for more than 10 years. She goes regularly to India to study with the lineage holder of the Ashtanga Yoga Paramaguru Sharath Jois. "I have committed my life to practicing and teaching Ashtanga Yoga. My main life purpose or better to call it dharma is to help people to find back their inner selves, to maintain and improve their well-being, to discover connection to their bodies while maintaining peace and happiness. I found this in the Mysore style of Ashtanga Yoga, where the teacher teaches individually their students in the group, giving hands-on adjustments. This way students develop their own practice and become more aware of their bodies & minds. Besides teaching Ashtanga Yoga, I am a mother of two children.
