As December approaches it’s a natural time for us to turn inward to look for the light. In this timely workshop, we’ll prepare and ground ourselves by relaxing into the powerful practice of yin yoga. Shannon’s guided yin yoga practice weaves together meditation teachings and breath connection with teachings on yin postures.
Then, Lama Brian we’ll lead the practice of shamatha meditation, the practice of peace. Settling the mind and body in stillness we re-discover the light within. This is the first step in this amazing journey to the recognition that everything is illuminated from the light of our sky-like mind, on breath at a time.
The workshop concludes with the deep, penetrating pure vibrations of alchemy crystal bowls. Shannon will take you through a relaxing and healing voyage, from which you re-emerge new and refreshed, inspired.
Lama Brian shares the profound teachings of meditation along with short guided meditations and group discussion to give you confidence in meditation practice, or to deepen your existing home practice. Group practice is a great way to get inspired by meditation through shared common experiences and unspoken interconnectedness.
There will be handouts for you to enjoy at your leisure. Step into your life with new tools to navigate your precious life.

About Lama Brian Hilliard Lama Brian Hilliard is co-founder and head teacher of Mindfulness Journeys. He has practiced, studied and taught meditation his entire life. Lama Brian has completed the traditional three year retreat. He is the real deal - profound, genuine, kind and funny. About Shannon van Staden Shannon van Staden is co-founder of Mindfulness Journeys, a yoga teacher and healer through sound and body.
